Nutritionist Newcastle
You are what you eat.
Nutrition
Clinical nutrition creates an optimal environment for the body to function and repair; giving your body the best chance to heal itself.
Nutritionists assess your diet from a scientific perspective, developing personalised nutrition plans to address and heal a wide range of conditions including chronic illness, weight concerns, gut health and related issues.
Here at CK Health, our team of Newcastle nutritionists is led by CK Health founder Cody Kennedy, who holds several qualifications in natural health, including an advanced diploma in Nutrition from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies.
Nutrition is always included as part of our Naturopathy consultations. However, nutrition consults can also be booked as a stand-alone service for those clients seeking to focus on diet and nutrition. From suggested tweaks to your current diet to comprehensive tailored meal plans, we offer a fully customised service depending on your individual health goals.
“Cody was very welcoming and listened to my concerns. She helped me prioritise my issues and then worked out a plan. The plan was very comprehensive and included supplements. She also supplied extra information and recipes. Over the next couple of visits, Cody worked with me and refined my plan. At all times she listened to my concerns and questions. I would thoroughly recommend Cody.”

We specialise in using nutrition to treat gut health
Our microbiome, or gut flora, is now understood to play a very important role in a wide array of health conditions; from autoimmunity, obesity, insomnia, depression and anxiety, to gut disorders such as allergies, constipation, diarrhoea, IBS, and SIBO.
Symptoms such as bloating, indigestion, fatigue, headaches, eczema, sinus, bad breath, skin reactions, gas, brain fog, inability to lose weight and more, can all be attributed to the gut bacteria being out of balance. Chronic conditions such as crohn’s disease, colitis and autoimmune diseases may be improved by balancing your gut bacteria. Gut bacteria influence the way our nutrients get digested. Gut bacteria can also interact with the nervous system to alter the production of serotonin, directly influencing mental health. In fact, 90% of your serotonin is made in the gut!
The foods we eat can impact the microbiome dramatically by encouraging or inhibiting the growth of specific bacteria families. By changing your diet, you can therapeutically alter your gut microbiome! Our nutritionists utilise nutrition and other tools to balance the gut bacteria, which can powerfully impact a wide range of health conditions.
